Curriculum

CBSE Curriculum

Greenwood follows the CBSE curriculum, recognised nationally and internationally for its rigour and breadth. Our programme spans Pre-Primary through Class XII, offering a seamless and progressive educational journey.

Pre-Primary & Nursery

The foundational years focus on activity-based learning and Montessori-inspired approaches. Subjects include Languages, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Art, Music, and Physical Education — delivered through play, exploration, and creative discovery. Our child-centred classrooms are designed to nurture curiosity from the very first day.

Primary School (Classes I–V)

A structured yet engaging curriculum builds core competencies in literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies. Project-based learning, library periods, computer labs, and extracurricular activities are integrated into the weekly schedule. Assessment is holistic, measuring not just academic skills but creativity, collaboration, and communication.

Middle School (Classes VI–VIII)

Students transition to a more formal curriculum with greater depth in Sciences, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Languages. Project-based learning, field trips, seminars, and inter-school competitions enrich the academic experience. A dedicated career orientation programme begins at Class VIII.

Secondary School (Classes IX–X)

Rigorous preparation for the CBSE Board Examinations, with a strong focus on conceptual clarity, analytical skills, and exam techniques. Additional coaching, doubt-clearing sessions, and mock examinations are offered throughout the year. Subjects include Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, and a Second Language.

Senior Secondary (Classes XI–XII)

Three specialist streams are offered:

  • Science Stream – PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with Computer Science and Biotechnology as optional subjects.
  • Commerce Stream – Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Mathematics/Informatics Practices, and English.
  • Humanities Stream – History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, and English with optional Fine Arts or Music.

Dedicated career counselling, college application support, and entrance exam coaching (JEE, NEET, CA Foundation, CLAT) are integral to the senior secondary programme.
